NTP has Filed Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against Palm

Seems that the infringement lawsuit against Palm (maker of the popular
Treo series), has been filed by NTP in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
NTP seeks both damages that result from Palm's, monetary damages and infringement of its patents on products, methods, processes, services and systems as electronic mail systems or radio frequency (RF) communications.
Donald E. Stout, NTP's co-founder, said, "We have attempted -- on numerous occasions -- to resolve this issue with Palm without resorting to litigation that is both time consuming and costly. Despite our efforts, Palm has chosen to continue to unlawfully infringe on our patents. Though we would still prefer to resolve this issue with Palm in a negotiated license agreement that is fair and reasonable to both parties, we are filing action today as a last resort to protect our valuable intellectual property."

You can snag these now for Respectively: for the palm Treo pda smartphone the prize are $424.99 while cingular 8525 are $559.99 straight.
Seems that 680 pda phone will be available for November 5th, and cingular 8525 for October 29th.

The new model’s launched on Sprint is a device that are pleasant in all aspects.
The design is not that much different from the 700w previous version
and its advanced feature set includes music player, Windows Mobile 5.0 as Operating System, and you can use the applications like Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Take a photo with integrated 1.3 megapixel camera and upload it via mobile internet connection to share with friends and family.
