Google prohibits incentivizing clients to remove or modify negative reviews

Now you can not offer motivations to ask people who left negative reviews to revise their reviews.

Google has updated its Google Maps reviews guidelines deceptive and fake engagement guidelines to now disallow making requests for revises or disposals of a negative review through offered discounts, free goods or services, or other boosts.
So if someone leaves you a negative review, you aren’t permitted to incentivize that individual to update their review.

The new guidelines.

The new guideline can be found over today and it says “ Content that has been incentivized by a business in exchange for discounts, free goods and/ or services. ” The another line is “ This includes dealer requests for revise or disposal of a negative review through offered discounts, free goods or services, or other boosts.

Why we look out?

Multiple businesses would offer some form of boost to have negative or neutral reviews modernized by those objects. That’s now prohibited in the updated.

Contributed content policy. This is in addition to paying, incentivizing or encouraging the release of content that doesn’t represent a genuine experience, or incentivizing for positive reviews in exchange for discounts, free goods and/ or services.
